Writer's Assistant
Location: Stamford, CT – WWE Headquarters
Key Responsibilities:
• Pay close attention to detail at all times.
• Take detailed and accurate meeting notes.
• Listen, follow directions, and execute them promptly.
• Participate in high-level creative meetings with the SVP and Lead Writers of the Creative Writing Team.
• Distribute notes from meetings to all necessary departments to ensure communication.
• Take initiative and communicate clearly with Lead Writers, Writers, and other departments.
• Type and distribute scripts, promos, and formats.
• Perform clerical tasks such as transcribing, copying, and printing documents.
• Coordinate with departments like Props and Talent Travel to ensure production elements for WWE TV shows (RAW, SmackDown) are secured.
• Assist writers with backstage and in-ring segments at WWE TV shows, serving as a runner and coordinating talent and props.
• Assist in directing and producing taped and live vignettes and promos.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 2 years of TV writing and/or production experience preferred.
• Strong WWE product knowledge.
• Strong note-taking skills and excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• Flexible schedule allowing for long hours and weekly travel.
• Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and proactive.
• Clean driver's license and vehicle for business use when needed.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70%-100%).
• Reside within commuting distance to the NY Metro/Stamford, CT area or be willing to relocate.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and fast typing.
• BA/BS in Film/TV/Drama, Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field is preferred but not required.
Travel: 70%-100% of the time for business.
